Site Patrol
Port monitoring

Watch any server, not just websites

Databases, SSH, game servers and custom services don't have web pages, but they still go down. A port check tells you when they stop answering.

How it works

Set up in under a minute

1

Add a port

Type the server's name or address and the port number, from 1 to 65535.

2

We connect

Every minute on Pro we try to open a connection and time how long it takes.

3

Alerts when it's closed

If it stops answering twice in a row, we tell you. When it's back, we say so.

Common ports

  • 22 for SSH
  • 3306 for MySQL and 5432 for PostgreSQL
  • 6379 for Redis
  • Game servers, VPNs and your own services
Questions

Good to know

Which ports can you check?

Any from 1 to 65535, apart from 25, which Cloudflare doesn't allow. For mail servers, use a mail server check, which also checks encryption.

Is it safe to open a port for checking?

Only check ports that are already meant to be reachable from the internet. If a database should be private, keep it that way.

Which plan is it on?

Pro. Each port counts as one of your 20.
