Site Patrol
Uptime monitoring

Website uptime monitoring that tells you first

We visit your website every minute, day and night. The moment it stops answering, answers with an error or slows to a crawl, you hear about it on your phone.

How it works

Set up in under a minute

1

Add your address

Type your website's address, such as https://example.com/. We check it straight away so you can see it working.

2

We keep visiting

Every minute on Pro, every 5 minutes on Free. Each visit records whether it answered and how fast.

3

You hear when it matters

Two failed checks in a row and we alert you. When it's back, we tell you how long it was down.

What counts as down

  • It doesn't answer within 15 seconds, or we can't connect at all
  • It answers with a server error, such as 500, 502 or 503
  • Its security certificate is broken, so visitors would see a warning
  • It's slower than a limit you choose, from half a second to 15 seconds
  • Optional: it doesn't answer with the exact status code you expect

Questions

Good to know

How often do you check my website?

Every minute on Pro and every 5 minutes on the free plan. You can choose to check less often, up to once an hour.

Why do you wait for two failed checks?

A single slow answer or network blip happens to every website now and then. Waiting for a second failed check means you're only woken up for real problems.

Where do the checks come from?

From Cloudflare's worldwide network. If a firewall or security plugin on your site blocks unknown visitors, let Site Patrol through so it doesn't look down.

What does uptime mean?

The share of our checks that found your website working. 99.9% over 30 days means it was down for about 43 minutes in that month.
